Installing WordPress Themes

Before installing a theme for your WordPress website, you must have a plan of the layout of your website and how it will appear. You can build a WordPress theme consisting of a header, sidebar, content area and footer conveniently.

To create a theme for your WordPress website, you must first create a sub-folder in the content/themes directory of your WordPress folder. The name of the folder must match the name of the theme you want to create. This can be done using the File Manager tool in the cPanel.

You can install files for the theme locally with a simple text editor such as Notepad or upload them using FTP. The File Manager tool in your cPanel also can be used to create the files on your hosting account directly.
