Install WordPress on Linux

To install WordPress on Linux server, you must have the server setup done properly with Apache, PHP and MySQL.

The next step is to go to the WordPress site and download the WordPress software.

After downloading the zip file, extract it in your Apache home directory. Your server may not be able to create the file by itself owing to permission issues in Linux granted to Apache2. You can create it manually.

Open MySQL and enter the password created during installation and create a new database for your WordPress.

Click Let's Go to start. After WordPress has successfully created a database connection, you will get a confirmation in the next page.
